BCCI crosses 18 million follower on Instagram ahead of WTC Final

While all the cricket pundits, fans, and critics of the game are busy getting excited about the final game of the World Test Championship, the BCCI has managed to set a record this time with its social media department.  On Tuesday, BCCI has managed to cross 18 million followers on its official Instagram handle named ‘Indiancricketteam’. This is simply phenomenal and has happened only because the Indian Cricket Team as the national side has managed to perform well in the international circuit over the years.

The opening edition of the most awaited ICC WTC final is scheduled to begin on 18 June, which is just three days away and Team India is getting ready to face the Kiwis who have just defeated the England side 1-0 in a two-match test match series. Recently, the top cricketing body of the country had posted videos of its cricketers such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant while training and practising which kept the fans intrigued.

Indian Cricket Team is not only popular on Instagram, but it has a huge follower-base of 14.15 million on its Twitter account named BCCI. On the other hand, Team India has also managed to keep their presence strong on Facebook too as it has 28 million likes on its page.  Indian cricket side landed in the British countryside on the third of this month and also played an intra-squad practice game ahead of the marquee event which is yet to begin shortly.
