BCCI declared the Indian Women central contracts 2020-21, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Poonam Yadav in Grade A

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 2020-21 central contract for the Indian Women’s team. Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandana and Poonam Yadav have listed in the Grade A Category whereas Shafali Verma has been promoted from category C to category B.

However, the Indian list has been omitted from 22 players to 19 players. Ekta Bisht, the left-arm spinner who is included for all three formats in the upcoming series against England is being omitted from the contract. Apart from Bisht three other Veda Krishnamurthy, D Hemalatha and Anuja Patil have been dropped as well. While Seventeen years Richa Gosh has been included in the contract.

The Grade A-listers, highest in the bracket are offered an annual payment of INR 50 lakhs followed by Grade B taking home INR 30 Lakhs and concluded by players in Grade C getting a sum of INR 10 lakhs per annum.

The Indian Women’s Team is currently under the coaching of former Indian cricketer Ramesh Powar who was reappointed by the BCCI and the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) after clearing an interview among 35 other candidates.
