Bigg Boss Telugu 7 winner Pallavi Prashanth arrested after post-finale ruckus

Pallavi Prashanth, the season 7 winner of Bigg Boss Telugu, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the violent incidents that occurred in Hyderabad on Sunday night after he was named the winner of the reality show, police said.

Prashanth and his brother Mahaveer were arrested outside their home in Kolgur village, Gajwel mandal, Siddipet district. They were taken to Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills police station, where a case was opened in connection with the incidents that took place on the night of December 16 near Annapurna Studio.

Fans of Big Brother’s finalists went on a rampage after the winner’s identity was revealed on Sunday night. They chanted slogans and vandalized cars leaving the studio, including the participants’.

They also caused damage to six Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) buses, a police car and private vehicles. The vehicle of runner-up Amardeep Chowdary was also damaged in the incident, although he escaped unhurt.

To put the situation under control, the police had to use force. Police had filed charges against Prashanth and his fans after he held a gathering despite being warned not to. Another complaint was filed for the destruction of six RTC buses and three private vehicles.
