Brett Lee says, “New Zealand might give a tough fight to Indian team in WTC final due to English condition”

Former Australian pacer Brett Lee says that New Zealand might have a plus point over India in the early-awaited inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) final in Southampton as the Kiwis are more favorable to conditions for swing bowling. Both teams India and New Zealand will face each other from June 18 in the marquee clash for which the Indian team landed in England on Thursday. The Kiwis are currently facing the host England in a two-Test match series.

The pacer, Brett lee told ICC’s official website that he thinks that it’s pretty evenly matched there. He was thinking that though, with the experience of New Zealand because Kiwis have bowled in these conditions which are similar to their home and it might be conducive to fast bowling and to swing bowling. So that’s where he thinks that the Blackcaps might have a plus point in their clash against the Indian team.

He further added by saying that then from a batting point of view, both sides have got batsmen that can play against swing bowling. But he thinks that it comes down to bowling. He thought whichever team bowls best will win this final. Kane is a lot more conservative without being boring. The blackcaps captain has got a great cricket brain and Lee admires his level of calmness. Kane is a conservative captain but also attacks when he needs to and is patient which works for him and his team. He lastly said that when the teams get out there, it is a battle that they play for their country.
