Jaydev Unadkat who had a record of 67 wickets in the Ranji Trophy 2019-20, guiding Saurashtra to win their maiden title has been not selected in the Indian Test squad or even in the reserve list for the same. Former Indian seamer Dodda Ganesh questioned the selection committee for such a lack of interest in the young pacer (Jaydev Unadkat), despite his tremendous performance in the Ranji Trophy.
“What else does @JUnadkat need to do to get into the Indian test squad. It’s perplexing to see him being ignored again and again despite great performances year after year at the FC level,” Dodda Ganesh Tweeted.
However, Unadkat replied optimistically “Your concern motivates me even more! Bring on the next season”.

Not only to this but Unadkat also replied in a witty way when another Twitter user showed her concern about him not getting selected into the Indian squad. Unadkat replied, “67 wickets in a season?!”

So far, India has a firm bowling attack with pacers like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav in the Squad. While three seamers Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna and Arzan Nagwaswalla are selected as the reserves or net bowlers.
