Sindhu will be facing 2022 Indonesia Masters winner Gao Fang Jie, who helped China win the Asia Mixed Team Championships this year.
On the other hand, Sen will compete against Julien Carraggi of Belgium.
However, Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan of Indonesia, the second seed and world number seven, defeated Krishna Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala 9-21, 11-21 to stop them from advancing to the quarterfinal round.
Sen has been slowly regaining his touch following a tough start to the season. Sen faced a tough battle against Coelho on Thursday, who erased a 0-2 hole with a four-point burst and then kept it tight. Sen managed to march forward and seal the victory after leaping to 20-15 with a five-point burst duo moved neck and neck till 13-13.
Sen got to a 12-2 lead in the second game and took giant steps to comfortably win the match.
