The Telangana government awarded Superstar Chiranjeevi the NTR Award and a ₹10 lakh cash reward. However, on the occasion of his son Ram Charan’s birthday, the actor donated the full cash to five philanthropic organizations that share his aim of social welfare.
On Ram Charan’s birthday (March 27), Chiranjeevi donated the ₹10 lakh award money. He donated to the Serve Foundation, where he invited 30 elderly citizens, gave them clothes, and held a meal for them. He also made donations to the Devnar Foundation for the Blind, the Valmiki Foundation, and the Nayasree Foundation to support their work with visually challenged and orphaned children.
Finally, Chiranjeevi contributed to the treatment of a young girl fighting cancer by donating to the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital. Chiranjeevi also took to X to greet Ram Charan on his birthday.
He shared some childhood images of his son, and commented, “Charan Babu… (red heart emoji) From holding my hand as a child to becoming an inspiration to many today… You make me truly proud. The way you balance cinema and personal life, your sense of responsibility towards family, your faith in God, discipline, and values… every time I see it, my love and admiration for you only grow stronger. May God’s blessings and fans’ love always guide you towards greater heights. Happy Birthday dear.”
Chiranjeevi will next appear in Vishwambhara. The socio-fantasy film, directed by Vassishta, stars him as a larger-than-life character whose story is being told to a little girl. The film also has Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, and Ashika Ranganath in lead parts. It began production in 2023. When the teaser was released, critics panned the film’s weak visual effects. However, another sneak peek provided on the star’s birthday thrilled fans.
The film is scheduled to be released in theaters this year. Ram Charan, on the other hand, is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film, Peddi. Buchi Babu Sana directs the film, which is produced by Satish Kilaru for Vriddhi Cinemas, co-produced by Ishan Saksena for IVY Entertainment, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
