Chiranjeevi Refutes Rumours About Mother Anjana Devi’s Health

Veteran actor Chiranjeevi has addressed rumours regarding his mother, Anjana Devi’s health, clarifying that she is doing well. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he urged the media not to spread unverified reports.

In his statement, Chiranjeevi acknowledged that his mother had been unwell for a couple of days but assured fans that she has now recovered. “My attention is drawn to some media reports claiming our mother is unwell and hospitalised. Want to clarify that she was a little indisposed for a couple of days. She is hale and hearty and is perfectly alright now. Appeal to all media not to publish any speculative reports on her health. Appreciate your understanding,” he wrote.

Reports emerged on Friday suggesting that Anjana Devi had been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. They also claimed that her younger son, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, had postponed his engagements in Vijayawada to be by her side in Hyderabad. However, Chiranjeevi’s statement dismissed these speculations, though he did not disclose further details about her condition.

The clarification comes just weeks after the family celebrated Anjana Devi’s birthday at home. The event was attended by Chiranjeevi, his wife Surekha Konidela, their son Ram Charan, daughter-in-law Upasana Konidela, and other close family members. Chiranjeevi’s response reassured fans and highlighted the importance of responsible reporting on personal matters.
