CSK Vs RCB: Jadeja gives Dhoni’s advice a credit for that last over destruction to Harshal Patel

Ravindra Jadeja scored a total of 37 of the last over of Harshal Patel making it the most expensive over in the history of IPL

Ravindra Jadeja made an effortless 62 off 28 balls at Wankhede against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He charged bowlers the time he came to the crease and made an explosive fifty facing just 25 deliveries. However, it was the last over by Harshal Patel that was a complete treat for the CSK and a nightmare for the RCB.

Jadeja scored a maximum of 37 runs making it the most expensive over in the history of IPL. The over included five huge sixes, a no-ball, a double and a four off the last ball.

Jadeja in his post-interview disclosed how he went on to score on everything he got. He clearly mentioned MS Dhoni’s advice is one of the reasons why he was able to read Harshal Patel so precisely.

“I was looking to hit hard in the last over, Mahi Bhai told me he (Harshal) will be bowling somewhere outside the off-stump and I was ready for that. Luckily I connected with everything and we managed to reach 191, which was crucial over from our side.” Jadeja said.

Jadeja not only dominated RCB with the bat but also did the magic for his captain with the ball. He took three wickets including the dangerous Glenn Maxwell and Mr.360 Ab de Villiers. He also displayed a sure shot of fantastic fielding by sending Daniel Christian back to the Pavilion with a run-out.

Jadeja’s heroic all-rounding performance guided CSK to a swift win by 69 runs, promoting them to the first position in the points table. While RCB who was undefeated so far faced their first defeat in the tournament.
