Deepika Padukone launches ‘Chain of Wellbeing’ on Instagram

Bollywood actor and mental health advocate Deepika Padukone launched ‘A Chain of Wellbeing’ on Thursday, which is a digital focusing on bringing to the forefront things that would support people in coping with overall gloom/overwhelm, given the times we all live in. The actress used the ‘Guides’ feature of Instagram to upload a compiled checklist of the initiative. As she introduced it, she captioned, “A gentle reminder to take care.”

She has launched the guide in collaboration with several other social media platforms, who are working to achieve a common goal that is to help and reach out to a wide array of viewers.

UNICEF, India has also partnered with the actress for the “Chain of Wellbeing” along with several other digital influencers. Recently, UNICEF India took to their social media to share a guide on ‘Managing Trauma and Loss’, tagging Deepika and ‘The Live Laugh Love Foundation’. They captioned it as, “We’ve all been emotionally impacted by the devastating effects of #COVID-19. Children are impacted too and may feel lost and unloved. Here’s some tips for parents and caregivers on how to reach out to children to let them know they are not alone.”

Other digital influencers include ‘Vitamin Stree’, ‘The Artidote’, ‘Sunaksha Iyer’, among others. They have posted similar posts on their social media handles to extend their support to the actress.

This is not the first time, Deepika has earlier too, collaborated with different social media handles during the first wave of Covid-19 to launch a ‘Wellness Guide’ in May 2020. She has now stepped forward for yet another initiative with the intent to promote mental wellbeing among larger audiences and reach out to the ones in need.
