
Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, made his appearance via video conference before the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday. He requested an exemption from making a physical appearance for the day since the Budget session was ongoing and because he had called a confidence motion in the Delhi assembly. Arvind Kejriwal was supposed to appear in court on a summons issued by the ED regarding a complaint filed against him for failing to appear before the agency.
Arvind Kejriwal’s counsel stated that he will physically appear on the next hearing date.
Arvind Kejriwal appeared before the court via videoconferencing, stating that he was unable to physically appear in court owing to the confidence motion discussion in the assembly and the ongoing budget session. The court has scheduled the matter for March 16.
