The Delhi High Court will resume physical hearings on all cases regularly from March 15, a year after court proceedings transferred on the digital medium given the pandemic. In exceptional cases, the court is likely to permit the plaintiff or defendant, and their counsel to join virtual proceedings based on available infrastructure.
The court order stated, “All Benches of this Court shall hold physical Courts, daily, with effect from 15.03.2021 and shall continue to take up the matters as per the existing arrangement of listing.”
All the advocates, litigants, and visitors will have to follow social distancing norms and guidelines issued by the Centre, Delhi government, and the court. A system for hybrid hearings has been set up in Delhi High Court Chief Justice DN Patel’s courtroom.
