A drone strike sank the Comoros-flagged ship Khoryv about 13 nautical miles east of Constanta in the Black Sea on Friday morning, Euronews reported. One sailor died, three are missing and nine were rescued. The crew included 10 Ukrainians and three Azerbaijanis.
Romanian President Nicusor Dan said Romania concluded that the attack came from Russia, and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called it another Russian escalation. Russia’s response was not given in the report. Romania and Bulgaria have asked NATO for counter-drone capabilities.
