Dua Lipa makes history, becomes first female artist to have most tracks in Spotify’s 2 billion club

Dua Lipa is the first female artist to have four tracks with more than 2 billion Spotify streams. The singer’s latest achievement comes as her hit song “Levitating” reaches the elite “2 billion club” on the famous streaming platform.

Dua Lipa’s chart-topping hits “Don’t Start Now”, “One Kiss”, “New Rules”, and now “Levitating” with DaBaby build her status as a dominant force in the music industry. Each of these songs has had an incredible number of streams, with “Don’t Start Now” leading the pack with over 2.5 billion.

Along with Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo have a few tracks on Spotify that have surpassed 2 billion streams as of December 2023. But as of March 2024, Dua Lipa is the only female artist with four songs that have achieved this incredible level of success.

The singer has not only achieved a record milestone on Spotify, but her comeback tracks in 2024 have also made waves. She started the Grammy season with the release of her psychedelic-influenced single “Houdini” in November of last year, followed by the debut of “Training Season”. Her song “Dance the Night” from the hit “Barbie” received two Grammy nominations, solidifying her place as a musical powerhouse.
