Dulquer Salmaan’s Iconic Film Ustad Hotel Set for Re-Release in January 2025

Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan is returning to the big screen with the re-release of his 2012 classic Ustad Hotel. The film, directed by Anwar Rasheed, will hit PVR INOX theaters nationwide on January 3, 2025, as announced by PVR Theaters on their official Instagram page.

The post read, “When passion meets tradition, the flavors of success come alive! Relive Faizi’s emotional journey on the big screen once again! Re-releasing at PVR INOX on Jan 3!” This announcement has generated significant excitement among fans, eager to relive the journey of Faizi, the film’s beloved protagonist.

Ustad Hotel follows the story of Faizi, a young chef who returns to India after completing his studies in Switzerland, only to clash with his father over his career choice. Stripped of his passport, Faizi begins working at his grandfather’s modest hotel, an experience that transforms his outlook on life.

Starring Dulquer Salmaan, Thilakan, and Nithya Menen in lead roles, the movie is celebrated as a cornerstone of the New-Gen Malayalam cinema movement. Penned by acclaimed writer Anjali Menon, it was also dubbed in Telugu as Janatha Hotel and remade in Kannada as Gowdru Hotel in 2017.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan is busy shooting for his next Tamil period film Kaantha, alongside Bhagyashri Borse, and is set to appear in the Telugu movie Aakasam Lo Oka Tara. Fans eagerly await both these ventures and the nostalgic return of Ustad Hotel.
