FIFA 21 makers have landed themselves in yet another controversy pertaining to the leak of an insider particular that suggests the players to spend money. EA Sports have had a history of being accused for being money orientated and they continue to hold the flag for this reputation.

The loot box controversy further hints at a “moneymaking racket”.

CBC News suggests that, an insider has revealed that the Electronic Arts wants to push FIFA players to the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) mode.

What is the FUT mode?

People signing up for the FUT mode are enabled to gamble over real-world money and in-game currency to buy loot boxes with the help of virtual athletes. The loot boxes offer virtual merchandise and goods which in-turn give the player a slim opportunity of winning something that could probably give you an added advantage in the game. The strategy reflects upon the avid gaming buffs and has been condemned for being linked with gambling.
