Tottenham Hotspur announced on Saturday that they have appointed Fabio Paratici as their director of football as the Premier League club moves closer to fill up their vacant manager’s job, former Roma boss, Paulo Fonseca is believed to be close to accepting the job offer after Tottenham have not been able to secure their top priority managers.
Fabio Paratici has recently left his role at Juventus after 11 successful years with the Serie A club who has dominated Italian football for over a decade. Paratici will be joining his next position at Tottenham after July 1 and he has been actively helping Tottenham Hotspur in finding their managerial candidate.
Tottenham have been without a manager since April after Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club after a series of disappointing games and a finish outside the top 6. Tottenham was in talks with Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers, Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmaan, Ajax’s Erik ten hag and they all declined the offer. Former boss, Pochettino was unable to persuade PSG to release him.
Daniel Levy, Tottenham Hotspur chairman said that he has known Fabio for many years and he brings with him a wealth of experience in scouting, youth and football operations. He had an outstanding track record in assembling competitive squads and he’s delighted that he will be heading up the football side of the club as they look forward to next season.
