Farmers agree to resume talks with Central government after PM urges them to do so

Farm Unions who have been protesting for the past 3 months have agreed to the talks after PM Narendra Modi urged the farmers end their stir and resume talks with government. Farm leader Shiv Kumar Kakka said that the farmers are ready to resume the next rounds of talks with the government officials and they should inform the time & date for the meeting.

So far 11 rounds of talks have been held but both the parties could never be on the same page. The Indian Farmer’s are demanding complete abolition of the newly launched Agri laws but the Central government maintains it’s stand that the laws will help and benefit farmers only and not private companies.

Farmers however took offence of PM’s recently made remark in Rajya Sabha calling them “adolan jivi” – a new breed of agitators.
