Fire breaks out at a shoe factory in outer Delhi

On the Monday morning a major fire broke out in Peeragarhi Udyog Nagar located in the outer Delhi. The fire department officials altogether 31 fire tenders and above 50 firefighters have been deployed into the service to extinguish the flames.

As yet, no casualties have been reported though the owner of the factory informed to the Delhi Fire Services Chief Atul Garg that six of his employees were missing. He further informed that he cannot get in touch with them as they did receive the calls on their mobile phone.

Atul Garg commented that it is a major category fire and the fire fighting operations may last till the late evening. He further elaborated that they have not found any bodies so far but the owner complained about six employees who are missing. On the missing employees, Atul Garg explained that they might have got trapped inside though they cannot confirm or deny it at the moment.

Garg reported that the fire control room received a call at around 8:22 am concerning the fire at a shoe factory in Peeragarhi Udyog Nagar. Furthermore, he affirmed that at first 24 fire tenders were rushed following more such vehicles were hurried at the accident spot considering that the fire was big.

Parminder Singh, Deputy commissioner of police (outer) narrated that the building have godown of shoes. He further informed that two ambulance were also called at the spot and also remarked about the missing employees who are suspected to get trapped in the premises.
