Dhop song from Game Changer: On Sunday, the fourth song from Shankar’s debut Telugu movie, Game Changer, which starred Kiara Advani and Ram Charan in the key parts, was made available. The upbeat song, Dhop, is evocative of the music that the director used to utilise in his early 2000s films.
Thaman S wrote the music for the five-minute techno piece, which could pass for an old AR Rahman Tamil song from a Shankar movie. Ramajogayya Sastry wrote the words for the song, which has vocals by Thaman, Roshini JKV, Prudhvi, and Sruthi Ranjani Modumudi.
Stills of Ram and Kiara from the song are shown in the lyrical video, which is broken up by videos of them dancing. The film also features footage of it being choreographed by Jani Master, who is accused of sexual abuse. Chiranjeevi can be seen praising their dancing skills in one of the shots.
Fans were pleased to see Ram dancing like he did in his previous films because his current filmography (Rangasthalam, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, RRR, Acharya) did not allow for Y2K-style numbers like Dhop. Karthik Subbaraj is the writer and Shankar is the director of Game Changer.
The film stars Anjali, Samuthirakani, S. J. Suryah, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, and Sunil in addition to Ram and Kiara. The movie will release on January 10 of the next year in theatres.
