Garth Davis’s upcoming movie to star Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal, LaKeith Stanfield

The sci-fi thriller movie based on Iain Reid’s bestselling novel of the same name is scheduled to begin production in January in Australia.

Saoirse Ronan, who previously starred in the critically acclaimed movie Little Women; LaKeith Stanfield, who previously starred in Judas and the Black Messiah; and Paul Mescal, who previously starred in Normal People, are coming together for a sci-fi thriller movie named Foe, based on author Iain Reid’s bestselling novel of the same name. The movie will be directed by Australian commercial, television, and film director Garth Davis, who is best known for his directorial work in the movie Lion.

Davis had stated that he always wanted to make a sci-fi feature film, and said the novel was an unputdownable read for him. Talking about the novel, he said that it is incredibly suspenseful, very moving, and dealt with sci-fi in the most grounded way that spoke to where humanity is currently heading towards as a society, with plenty of questions that humanity still is looking for answers to, which will be explored in a profound way.

The movie has been written by director Davis himself, along with original author Iain Reid, and is produced by Kerry Kohansky-Roberts of Anonymous Content, director Davis through his ‘I Am That banner’, and Emile Sherman and Iain Canning by their production house See-Saw Films. Author Iain Reid and Samantha Lang serve as the executive producers of the movie, and the film will be produced under Anonymous Content Studios production. The production of the movie has been scheduled to begin in January 2022 in Australia
