According to TuttoMercatoWeb through Football Italia, Serie A goalkeeper had three probable options. Being Marc-Andre Ter Stegen’s backup at Barcelona, joining Atletico Madrid who won Laliga title this season and acting as a support for Jan Oblak or heading back to where he made his debute at the age of seventeen in 1995 for six years before joining Juventus in 2001, his former side Parma to give nostalgia.
The Italian will be leaving Juventus for the second time for his emotional return to the first club. He spent seventeen years of his career at Juventus and won nine Serie A trophies, one Serie B trophy, six Coppa Italia and a runner up finisher in the UEFA Champions League thrice.
He also spent one season at the French side with Paris Saint-Germain before returning back to Juventus in 2019.
