Gwyneth Paltrow reflected on 2024, sharing what she’s let go of and outlining her goals for 2025

Gwyneth Paltrow took a creative approach to reflecting on her year, sharing a thoughtful Instagram video on December 29 about everything she has let go of in the past 12 months.

She kicked off her post with a clip of herself strutting outdoors in a blue mini-dress, with the words “This year I have let go of…” appearing on the screen. The first thing on her list was a heartfelt one—her time living under the same roof as her kids, Apple, 20, and Moses, 18. With both of them off to college, she acknowledged that this chapter of her life had come to an end.

Other things she said goodbye to included “our home,” “some very cherished colleagues,” “a dog,” and even the city of Los Angeles. She also hinted at cutting ties with certain people, sharing a short clip of the sky with the words “some people who were not right for me” but without naming names.

She admitted to letting go of the idea that she could control how people perceive her, recognizing that some misconceptions are beyond her power to correct. She’s also working on breaking free from self-limiting beliefs as she moves toward the new year.

Looking ahead to 2025, she shared a second post listing her goals, which include excelling at work, prioritizing her well-being, and embracing difficult but necessary conversations.

On Christmas Day, she posted a dimly lit photo featuring only half of her and her daughter Apple’s faces, wishing her followers a Merry Christmas. In the background, her 81-year-old mother, Blythe Danner, could be seen among the family gathered for the holiday.
