According to authorities on Saturday, a doctor in Nuh, Haryana, was strangled and killed by a former buddy for a loan of lakhs of rupees. Punhana city is where the incident happened. According to PTI, the 60-year-old physician, named as Vinod Goyal, had gone missing on August 28.

His family’s worries had been allayed when he texted Mahendra, his compounder, via his cell phone. Devendra Goyal, the doctor’s brother, became concerned for his safety, though, when he stopped communicating after that. On September 3, Devendra then submitted a missing person report. Police accused the doctor after analyzing his phone calls. Following a review of the doctor’s phone conversations, the police located Vinod’s friend, Deepak Rajasthani, a former councilman.

According to authorities, Deepak, 42, was the owner of a store called Rajasthani Bartan Bhandar, which was situated just in front of Vinod’s clinic at Goyal Nursing Home, according to PTI. Vinod and Deepak were pals and frequently spotted together.

But according to the versions given, Deepak allegedly gave Vinod a loan of ₹40 lakh or ₹23 lakh, which caused a split between the two. Deepak said Vinod owed him ₹23 lakh, while Devendra stated the loan amount was between ₹40 and ₹45 lakh. The police claimed that Vinod had refused to reimburse the money.

After being arrested by the police on September 5, Deepak admitted to the murder. According to Rajesh Kumar, SHO of Punhana City Police Station, “Deepak Rajasthani confessed to strangling the doctor to death with a rope in his car on August 28,” PTI said.

The SHO added that Deepak and an accomplice had disposed of the victim’s body in the Ganga River in an attempt to make the case appear to be a suicide. The SHO stated that a search was being conducted at the location where the body was thrown and that the police were looking into the matter from all sides.
