It’s been a year since the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, who left a mark on the TV industry with his role as “Manav” in the long-run daily soap, Pavitra Rishta and soon after made his debut in Bollywood with “Kai Po Che.”
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Films
Sushant was not only an excellent actor but also a dancer with so many opportunities before him, some of which he passed on. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had offered “Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela”, “Bajirao Mastani” and “Padmaavat” to Sushant, but because of his tight schedule Sushant couldn’t accommodate the movies and thus lost the chance to have collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Fitoor
Sushant was also said to have been offered the role in “Fitoor”, the official remake of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectation. The direction was undertaken by Abhishek Kapoor, Sushant’s debut film director, However, he passed on the project which finally landed with Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Half Girlfriend
Sushant was supposed to star in the romantic film “Half Girlfriend” based on the book written by Chetan Bhagat.
However, the project kept getting delayed and Sushant being the man of his word, had already booked dates for other movies, which is why he passed up on Half Girlfriend, that later starred Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.
