Three contractors based in Assam have been caught by the Income Tax Department in a raid. As much as Rs.100 crore has been found from their property after 14 different locations in Northeast had been searched. The Tax Department has also got a hold of Cash worth Rs. 2.95 crore as well as Jewellery costing Rs.9.79 lakh. They have not yet disclosed the names of those contractors. The ones caught have created shell companies which are only present on paper and do no real business.
