After a break of nearly a month, the Indian team in England will return to the field on Tuesday (July 20) at Riverside Stadium in Chester-le-Street for a three-day practice match against County Select XI. The all-time Indian skipper Virat Kohli will not be playing in the practice game and his absence gives chance Rohit Sharma to lead the side.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first in Riverside Ground, against a County XI which is led by Warwickshire skipper Will Rhodes. While Richard Dawson is the Coach of the County XI side. Rohit’s led team has some changes from the playing XI which India played in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. KL Rahul has been picked in the absence of wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, Hanuma Vihari is playing in place of vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, and Mayank Agarwal is included in place of injured Shubman Gill.
