India’s domestic air passenger traffic continues its upward trajectory

India’s domestic passenger traffic has reached over half of pre-COVID level operations, a senior official of the Ministry of Civil Aviation said. Rating agency ICRA also noted “recovery in domestic passenger traffic in the month of October with a sequential growth (over September) of around 33 percent.” However, domestic travel demand declined 58 per cent and international demand fell 87 per cent on a year-on-year basis, said ICRA.
