On Tuesday, in Kolkata airport, a catering truck struck the engine of an IndiGo aircraft, causing minor damage. At Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, the aircraft was parked on the tarmac when the event happened.
The aircraft sustained some minor damage as a result. The airline has not yet released a statement. The most recent occurrence occurred around two months after the engine of an Air India aircraft headed for New York was damaged after it sucked in a container on its way back to Delhi. The incident happened in January when the aircraft swallowed a cargo container while taxiing to the apron, seriously damaging the engine.
