Indigo’s Sharjah-Lucknow flight makes emergency landing in Karachi as passenger falls ill, dies

Indigo flight 6E 1412 from Sharjah to Lucknow made an emergency landing at Karachi airport on Tuesday, March 2 morning when a passenger aboard complained of acute chest pain.

Unfortunately, the passenger Habeeb-ur-Rehman(67) died before the plane could land at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

According to a report by the Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune, the passenger died of cardiac arrest. The  Karachi Air Traffic Control allowed the emergency landing on humanitarian grounds.

After the declaration of the passenger’s death by doctors, the plane took off for Ahmedabad. All passengers were disembarked at Ahmedabad and the plane was sanitized before taking off for Lucknow.
