IPL 2021: CSK’s Ravindra Jadeja creates history with the most expensive over, hits 37 in an over

Jadeja striked for a total of 37 runs, this is so far the most expensive over in the history of the IPL of the current purple cap holder of the IPL 2021 RCB’s Harshal Patel.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and started with a great start against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Although Chennai was a bit choked by RCB bowlers in the mid-overs, Jadeja’s explosive innings changed the course of the game. Jadeja scored a quick fifty with a strike rate of more than 200.

However, it was the last over that was lethally hammered by Jadeja for a total of 37 runs. This is so far the most expensive over in the history of the IPL of the current purple cap holder of the IPL 2021 RCB’s Harshal Patel. The last over consisted of 5 maximum and a four of the last ball.

Chris Gayle recorded to hit Prasanth Parameswaran for 37 earlier in the 2018 edition playing against Tuskers Kerela. It was just the third over of the inning when Gayle took off with the aerial root destroying the young bowler. However, it is now Ravindra Jadeja repeating the history shattering a good spell by Harshal Patel in the first inning’s last over.
