Devdutt Padikal and Virat Kohli guide RCB to win comfortable with xx wickets in hand

Royals Challengers Banglore registered their fourth comprehensive win in the IPL 2021. RCB has so far won all their games in this edition holding the first position at the points table.

RCB’s Mohammad Siraj departed Rajasthan’s Top batting order by taking 3 crucial wickets including Jos Buttler (8), David Miller for a duck and Rahul Tewatia, who looked in good touch for a 40 off 23. Later, Harshal Patel also contributed with three wickets.

Washington Sundar, Kane Richardson and Kyle Jamieson took one wicket each to restrict Rajasthan for a 177 in a high scoring ground.

However, RCB openers Devdutt Padikkal and Skipper Virat Kohli destroyed the Rajasthan bowling attack from the start. Padikal (101*) scored a fierce hundred off 51 balls, while the captain Kohli scored an explosive 72 off 42 balls. He also reached a milestone of 6000 runs in 194 matches. Devdutt Padikal was awarded the man of the match.

“It was good to see him bat, once he got the flow he was thoroughly impressive to watch playing. Devs innings was the game-changer of tonight. RCB dominated Rajasthan Royals with a ten-wicket victory to promote first in the points table. RCB will face CSK ahead in the Vivo IPL 2021.
