IPL 2021: KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier have tested positive for COVID-19, RCB vs KKR rescheduled

KKR vs RCB has been rescheduled as Chakravarthy, Warrier positive for Covid-19.

On Monday KKR was about to face RCB in the Narendra Modi stadium. Chakravarthy is thought to have just left the IPL bio-bubble in the official green channel to do a scan on his shoulder, and that is where he might have got exposed. Barring Chakravarthy and Warrier, the rest of the Knight Riders contingent’s tests came out clear. The entire Kolkata Knight Riders squad, along with the support staff and management, has gone into isolation in their team hotel.
This is the first occurrence of COVID-19 positive cases for IPL participants since the beginning of the 2021 season. The franchise and the IPL also have a declaration to make.

Due to this the match on Monday has been rescheduled and the date of the rescheduled match is yet to be confirmed by the organisers.
