In an important match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Sanju Samson played an important captains’ knock to chase down the small total of 134 and take two important points for his team.
In a mere chase of 134 after a good bowling performance from Morris and co. to restrict the KKR batting lineup. Rajasthan was up and running for the chase but they lost Buttler in the third over.
Samson joined Jaiswal in the middle and started his innings with a classy cover-drive for a boundary.
Samson was up and flying with a couple of boundaries but as the wickets were falling around him he took the responsibility and hung around. He eventually partnered with Miller and kept scoring singles to take his side home. Samson hit two fours and one six in his anchoring innings 0f 42 in 41 deliveries. The innings were important for Rajasthan as well as Samson as he lost form after his innings of 119 in the first match.
David Miller was in all praises for his captain after the match as he stated “Sanju batted extremely well, he actually did in the first game,m came in, showed what he got, was a good team performance, nice and clinical”.
