Sandeep Warrier is considered to be doing but on the other hand, Varun Chakravarthy still looks dicey with his situation after two of them were tested COVID positive before facing RCB in the upcoming match. Venky Mysore, Kolkata’s CEO confirmed that Sandeep’s health is stable and he is doing fine but Chakravarthy is still under the weather. However, the rest of the KKR players and the staff were tested negative.
Apart from this, KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan interacted with everyone regarding the situation via a video interaction.
“Difficult times, but I am happy to report that both Varun and Sandeep are doing well. We have taken all the precautions that are necessary and have been advised by the medical teams of IPL and KKR and also getting appropriate advice from outside on what the right thing to do is,” Venky told host broadcasters Star Sports as reported by kkr.in
Venky also confirmed that they got to know about both Varun and Sandeep 24 hours prior and instantly started with all the necessary measures and precautions. All the team members and the staff were isolated and tests were taken in place certainly.
“We put them (Varun and Sandeep) on a different floor with a different air conditioning ducts system to make sure others are appropriately protected,” Venky concluded.
