ISRO developing “green propulsion” for ‘Gaganyaan’

On speaking at the 16th convocation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, ISRO Chairman K Sivan revealed that they have developing “green propulsion” for its ambitious human space flight mission ‘Gaganyaan’. Stating that it may or can also be adopted for the use in every stage of rocket building.

ISRO has been known to made space grade lithium-ion batteries and this technology is useful for mass adoption of electric vehicle. ‘Gaganyaan’ is to launched in December 2021 but the mission is likely to get delayed due to COVID-19.
