Japanese government has passed a bill which ensures that every citizen of Japan will get immunisation against novel Coronavirus for free of cost. The Japanese government is all set to bear the cost of vaccine and also compensate pharmaceutical companies for losses. The government will prioritise elderly people, medical workers and vulnerable groups. Japan’s medical scientists are still working on the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine. Japan has managed to secure 120 million doses of AstraZeneca’s vaccine and will start vaccination in the first half of the next year.
