Jet Airways to restart with 25 aircrafts

The winning bidder for Jet Airways, Jalan Kalrock Consortium, is looking forward to restarting the inoperative Jet Airways (India) Ltd within a period of 4 to 6 months after approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

The airline is expected to start by the end of the year with a base in New Delhi with 25 aircrafts.

The NCLT will hear the resolution plan for the airlines on Monday. The consortium will retain the brand name and rehire the employees that previously worked for the company.

“After NCLT decision, we will be able to start the airline within four to six months. I am very positive about Indian aviation and the future is bright, ” said the lead man of the business Murari Lal Jalan.
