Jose Mourinho sacked as Tottenham Hotspurs manager

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has just been sacked by Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur have fired Jose Mourinho after an explosive morning where he refused to take players onto training ground over the club’s proposed Super League admission. Jose Mourinho met Daniel Levy last night to complain about Tottenham joining the European Super League, he’s not a big fan of the competition as he highly respects the football pyramid.

Daniel Levy sacks Jose Mourinho 24 hours later.

Tottenham’s slide has been dramatic since the 3-1 defeat at home to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on January 28. Mourinho’s side have lost seven of their 14 Premier League games since that day, winning just five matches and drawing two, conceding 21 goals, just one less than they have scored.

On top of that Tottenham exited the FA Cup in the fifth round with a defeat at Everton and then came that embarrassing collapse in Croatia as they threw away a 2-0 first leg lead to lost 3-2 on aggregate at Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League.

However, the main issue for sacking was the disagreement in regards to the European Super League. Love or hate Mourinho, you have to respect him.

Ryan Mason is set to take over until June together with Chris Powell, as per Telegraph. Tottenham board will go for a new manager in the next season, ready to open talks soon.
