Justin Timberlake cancels London show at the last minute due to illness

After catching the flu, Justin Timberlake, who dropped his latest track on Friday, had to postpone his London concert. Timberlake informed his fans about the cancellation through an Instagram video. The artist also disclosed that since he first fell sick at the start of the month, his flu symptoms have gotten worse. It seems that until the new concert dates are revealed, fans will have to wait to catch the singer performing live.

In his video, the singer expressed his regrets for postponing the show, but he has to prioritize his health first. He said, “This is an unfortunate video to have to send out, but I’m sure you can tell from the sound of things that I am not going to be able to make it to the show on Friday, which I’m gutted about.” He continued, “As you may or may not know, I’ve been battling some kind of bug. I thought I was getting better, but it just took a turn for the worse. We almost didn’t make it to [The Graham Norton Show], but were able to power through. This morning, I woke up just feeling worse than ever.”

He further added,  “All I can say is maybe next time when we come into town, I’ll be able to make it up to you, and we can rock the Roundhouse one more time. But for now, I feel terrible. I hope none of you get this flu. Thanks, I love you guys, and I’ll see you next time.”

On March 15th, Justin Timberlake’s new album Everything I Thought It Was is scheduled for release. Through RCA Records, it will be the singer’s sixth studio album. This will be Timberlake’s first release following Man of the Wood (2018).
