The makers of Khadaan released the teaser on Wednesday, and Tollywood actor Dev is back with a bang, playing two parts in the film.
Dev plays a father and son in the upcoming action thriller, which is directed by Soojit Rino Dutta. Jisshu Sengupta, Barkha Bisht, Idhika Paul, and Anirban Chakrabarti are also in the ensemble cast. In the coal belt, the two-and-a-half-minute trailer opens, showcasing the friendship between Shyam Mahato (Dev) and Mohan Das (Jisshu Sengupta).
However, as the story progresses, the narrative abruptly changes course and suggests a confrontation between the two protagonists. According to the trailer, Mohan succeeds and becomes a wealthy industrialist, while Shyam is imprisoned for his deeds. Dev portrays Shyam’s son, who replaces him in the coal belt. Despite being compared to South Indian blockbusters like KGF and Salaar, Khadaan’s gritty imagery, dark colour scheme, and intense action capture the harsh realities of life in an industrial coal town.
The movie’s music, which has already begun to trend, adds to the excitement. Composed by Nilayan Chattopadhyay, Savvy, and Rathijit Bhattacharjee, songs like Rajar Raja, Kishori, and Haye Re Biye have resonated with audiences on music platforms.
Khadaan, which is produced by Surinder Films and Dev Entertainment Ventures, will be released in theatres on December 20.
