
Vice-captain K.L. Rahul and all-rounder Axar Patel have been ruled out of the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies in Kolkata starting on the 16th of February.
Rahul sustained an upper left hamstring strain while fielding in the second ODI against the West Indies on Wednesday. Axar has resumed the final stage of his rehabilitation after recently recovering from the Covid-19 virus.
They will now head to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for further management of their injury.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named opening batsmen Ruturaj Gaikwad and all rounder Deepak Hooda as replacements for this leg of the matches against the West Indies.
