Kshatriya body demands name change of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithviraj’

After Karni Sena, Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha demanded for a change in name of Akshay Kumar’s movie, Prithviraj.

The upcoming movie of Khiladi, Akshay Kumar’s movie, Prithviraj, is in controversy because of its name. Earlier, the Karni Sena had opposed it and now, Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha. According to them, it is an insult of the great ruler to call him just by his name.

Shantanu Chauhan, youth wing head of the organization, said, “The insult of the great brave warrior Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan ji, who protected the nation and Hinduism, is an insult to every citizen of India. The title of Yash Raj produced film ‘Prithviraj’ directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi is an insult to the great Hindu emperor. It is condemnable and insulting to not address such a great warrior and a brave son of India by his full name.”

The organization demanded for an immediate change in the movie title as it not respectable to call such a great ruler just ‘Prithviraj’.

“The filmmakers have made the film on the great king Prithviraj Chauhan who was the last Hindu emperor and a great Rajput king. How can the name of the film be kept just Prithviraj? The title should have the full name,” Mahipal Singh Makrana, national president of the Shree Rajput Karni Sena, told PTI.

The film is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and is best known for his historical TV series, ‘Chanakya’. The movie is based on an epic poem ‘Prithviraj Raso’ which was written by great poet Chand Bardai.

The movie stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role of King Prithviraj Chauhan and Miss World, Manushi Chillar as Sanyogita.

Other cast of the film includes Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Manav Vij and several others. The movie is scheduled to release on November 5, 2021.
