Tottenham has received some severe opposition from Pochettino’s current club, PSG, after appearing to be close to signing Pochettino back last week. Meanwhile, Spurs had a real flirtation with Antonio Conte before it all fell apart on Friday. According to Fabrizio Romano, Poch appears to be remaining put even if Spurs want to repair the connection. This will irritate both Levy and the Spurs faithful, as both appear to be eager to see the 49-year-old back in North London this summer.
According to reports, Pochettino was crucial in the signing of Gini Wijnaldum and plans to build his squad for next season. He wants one full season with PSG and inspires them to a Ligue 1 win and hopefully a Champions League.
Tottenham Director of Football Fabio Paratici is reportedly now fully involved in the managerial hunt, and there are unsubstantiated claims that several of their previous shortlist candidates are being reconsidered for an appointment. We don’t know who those candidates are, although Erik Ten Hag, Roberto Martinez, and Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini have all been mentioned.
Ajax boss Ten Hag has already given a hint over what his answer would be should Tottenham offer him the manager’s job. After signing his contract extension, Ten Hag insisted he is happy where he is and that is where “his heart is”.
“I know who I am working with, I know what the ideas are, I know what goals we have,” he told the Ajax club website. “I’m happy here.”
Who do you think Tottenham should sign, after Pochettino plans to remain at PSG?

…and that’s it: Pochettino has been directly involved in Wijnaldum’ turnaround to join PSG.
Poch called Gini several times, they met in 2016 as Poch wanted him at Spurs. Now, together in Paris 🇫🇷
