Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone gets mobbed at Jamnagar airport, husband Ranveer Singh comes to rescue; Watch

Parents-to-be Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were seen at Mumbai and Jamnagar airports on Thursday evening. The stars had just announced their pregnancy earlier in the day and they looked adorable in white when they arrived in Jamnagar for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities.

Fans rushed to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as soon as they landed in Jamnagar, wanting to take selfies and take photographs with them. Deepika was spotted being assisted by Ranveer as she made her way to their car. To protect her from the crowd, he put his arms around her. Ranveer waved to the crowd and seemed happy as he couldn’t stop smiling. Security guards surround the couple as well, preventing the crowd from getting too close.

 

Following Deepika’s recent BAFTA Awards presentation, there were speculations that she was hiding a baby bump behind her shiny Sabyasachi saree. The actress was reportedly in her second trimester of pregnancy, according to a recent report from The Week and her belly was also visible in the photos she shared on Instagram. On Thursday, the couple posted a short message on social media that reads, “September, 2024,” confirming the news.

In the meantime, on the professional front, Ranveer is now shooting Singham Again with Rohit Shetty. He is also expected to feature in the film Shaktimaan, helmed by Basil Joseph of Minnal Murali fame. On the other hand, Deepika also feature in Singham Again.
