The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gets the green light from Abu Dhabi after all the drawing pending approvals and exceptions from the emirate authorities. Abu Dhabi will be hosting the PSL 2021 remainders starting in June.
“We are delighted with this development as the remaining hurdles in the staging of the remaining PSL 6 matches in Abu Dhabi have been overcome and all systems are now good to go,” Wasim Khan, the PCB chief executive, stated.
Khan also showed his gratitude towards the UAE government and the National Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, Emirates Cricket and Abu Dhabi sports council for showing their support and assistance towards PCB for overcoming all the hurdles and help them complete the marquee event.
The continuation of the tournament was highly doubtful until Wednesday before the PCB called in a meeting with the six franchises involved in the league. The conditions offered by the Abu Dhabi authority insisted on every member from players to staff members to broadcast crew must be vaccinated against the COVID-19.
However, UAE has approved the offer for hosting the PSL 2021 remainders after sending all the required deeds by now, any further information will be reviled soon by the PCB.
