PM Modi served vegetarian meals cooked in vegetable oils, without eggs and dairy products in UAE

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Abu Dhabi, UAE, for his one-day official visit. During his visit, he was served with a vegetarian cuisine made wit vegetable oils, without eggs or dairy products.

The banquet, which was hosted by the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in honour of PM Modi, served vegetarian lunch. The meal began with salad made of harees (wheat) and dates with local organic vegetables.

For the starters, they served grilled vegetables marinated with masala sauce followed by the main course which would include black lentil and local harees (wheat) with cauliflower and carrot tandoori.

For the desserts, they brought forward a selection of seasonal local fruits. All means were vegetarian, which were made with vegetable oils and contained no egg or dairy products.

During his meeting with UAE President Zayed Al Nahyan at the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace, PM Modi said that he is very glad to come to Abu Dhabi and meet the President. PM added that Abu Dhabi feels like a second home to him.

In order to honor PM Modi’s arrival in UAE, the iconic skyscraper Burj Khalifa was lit up in Tricolor and also showcased Modi’s picture.
