On November 8, while in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate four new Vande Bharat express trains. According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the new Vande Bharat Express trains would run on the Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru routes.
It is anticipated that the new Vande Bharat express trains will greatly shorten travel times between important locations, improving regional mobility, encouraging travel, and bolstering national economic activity. Compared to the special trains currently in use, the Banaras-Khajuraho Vande Bharat express will save roughly two hours and forty minutes and offer direct connection on the route.
In addition to boosting religious and cultural tourism, the train connecting Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh would give pilgrims and tourists a quick, contemporary, and comfortable way to reach the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khajuraho. Additionally, the train would link some of the most sacred religious and cultural sites in India, such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Khajuraho.
It is anticipated that the new Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat express will save almost an hour of travel time by completing the trip in about 7 hours and 45 minutes. The northwest region of the state will be connected to the UP capital by train. In addition to providing better access to the holy city of Haridwar via Roorkee, the train is intended to significantly benefit passengers from Lucknow, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Bijnor, and Saharanpur.
The Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat express is expected to be the quickest train on the specified route, finishing the trip in an astounding 6 hours and 40 minutes. According to the release, the train is anticipated to improve connectivity between the nation’s capital and important Punjabi cities like Firozpur, Bathinda, and Patiala.
This will increase trade, tourism, and job opportunities, support the socioeconomic development of border regions, and promote greater integration with national markets. The Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat express will decrease the journey time by more than two hours by connecting Ernakulam in Kochi, Kerala, with Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, in only eight hours and forty minutes.
Train number 26651 KSR Bengaluru–Ernakulam Junction Vande Bharat Express will depart Bengaluru at 5.10 am and arrive at Ernakulam Junction at 1.50 pm, according to a Railway Board announcement released on Friday, according to PTI. The 26652 Ernakulam Junction–KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express return train is scheduled to leave Ernakulam at 2:20 pm and reach Bengaluru at 11 pm.
Major IT and commercial hubs are anticipated to be connected by the train, offering professionals, students, and visitors a quicker and more comfortable mode of transportation. According to the research, the route will encourage more tourism and economic activity between Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, encouraging regional development and cooperation.
