PM Narendra Modi continues to celebrate Diwali with BSF jawans in Gujarat’s Kutch

On the Amavasya (new moon) of the Krishna Paksha, people celebrate Diwali. This year, there is a lot of disagreement regarding the best time to commemorate Amavasya Tithi because it falls across two days, starting on October 31 at 3:52 PM and concluding on November 1 at 6:16 PM.

Following his custom of commemorating Diwali alongside India’s military, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the holiday with Border Security Force (BSF) jawans based in Gujarat’s Kutch.

Modi spoke with soldiers and exchanged Diwali pleasantries at the BSF outpost near the western border on Thursday, October 31. Here’s a post by ANI on X, regarding the Diwali celebration with Jawans.

PM Narendra Modi has celebrated Diwali with military troops at different venues around the nation since he took office in 2014. Modi visits military installations every year to commemorate the festival and engage with the troops.
