Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled over 2,000 train infrastructure projects costing around ₹ 41,000 crore on Monday, highlighting the country’s determination to achieve its dreams big.
The third term of his government will start in June, but the scope and speech with which it has been working have surprised people, PM Modi stated in his video address, citing the recent launch of major development projects.
He highlighted the transformation in the railways, such as the introduction of Vande Bharat trains, an emphasis on cleanliness and the electrification of tracks, saying that people had seen the new India being built in the last 10 years.
In a jab at previous governments, PM Modi stated that his government had stopped the looting of public money and every penny gained was used to increase railway services.
The Indian Railways was once a victim of politics, but it is now the primary base of travel convenience, he said, adding that it has also been a big source of employment.
PM Modi warned citizens that an increase in the budget due to the country’s increasing economy would have no impact on the ground if revenue leaks due to scams.
He said that local culture and artisans are being promoted through the use of renovated railway stations.
“I want to tell youngsters that their dreams are my resolve. Your dreams and hard work and my resolve are a guarantee of Viksit Bharat,” he said.
